La Petite Maison's Cocktail – A Recipe

WHere is an easy interpretation of a beverage featured on our latest cocktail list. This is a party-sized premix which is packed with the flavours of a Christmas time, rendering it excellent for your festive gathering. Save the extra citrus syrup to use in breakfast cocktails, puddings, or to make more rounds of bikinis.

Bikini Recipe

Yields 10 guests

To make the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

To make the Premix (yields 850ml, serving 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing

Method

To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Combine all the items into a saucepan, heat until it reaches a simmer, mixing so the sugar melts. Then, turn off the burner and leave to cool down entirely. Pour to a sterilised bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the fridge, where it will keep for about four weeks.

For the Cocktail Base: Combine every spirits and syrup into one large bottle, let it rest for 60 minutes, then filter it best through muslin, making it perfectly clear.

To serve: Measure 85ml from the batch mix into a cocktail shaker containing ice, and stir lightly for one minute to chill. Filter to a cold coupe glass or similar, top with some cranberries and complete it with a brief mist of the essential oil over the top.
